you can`t make deepfake vids using someone`s yearbook photos or anything of the sort. In order for the AI to create a deepfake using someone`s image it needs a lot of photos of that person taken from all possible angles otherwise the results will be so bad that it would look nothing like the person that is being victimized. But yeah if someone has hundreds of photos (let alone thousands) of them posted all over social media they certainly have something to worry about. However I assume for deepfake photos one would need just about a dozen images of a person in order to swap their faces with the ones of someone in such explicit material. Not much a relief I know but at least you can be reassured that those perps can`t just make a degrading deepfake of anyone just using their passport photo or anything of the sort.
