What I don't think people get about art (especially when they wonder why they should care) is that you cannot escape art, and if everything art-related becomes AI, then we cannot escape AI.
Art IS the entertainment industry (games, movies, books, plays, music), the fashion industry (the very clothes on your back and your underwear too), architecture (every house you've ever lived or worked in) and every item you have EVER bought (packaging and designs), every piece of furniture ever made, every logo ever designed and in everything you see on social media, every photograph you see anywhere, every poster, every statue, every instruction manual.
