I am an addicted, if I do not do these drugs someone else will in this particular case China. China has repeatedly demonstrated that it has the werewithal to handle AI despite what is said in the west, case in point China has skipped automation and used manual labor until it made the societal changes necessary to make it safe to automate. The west does not seem to be able to go past profits. AI is a problem when the humans are problem.
A lot of people come and absolve themselves with warnings about AI how about proposing solutions.
