As a disabled artist and writer… ai as an ethical tool is cool but creating with it is… yeah. No. (To clarify I recently used ai to help me tone check my work and remove some details in a sensitive piece that touched on abuse etc, so I didn’t traumatize people who read it. Or devolve into trauma dumping. That’s legit use though. I still wrote it. I still went back over it after. In my case I have a specific problem where I cannot leave out the trauma without help but it’s also not writing for me so… I feel like when they try to use us as an excuse they are taking things like that out of context).
