Bernie, first you go on about how AI is going to virtually eliminate employment as we know it, then you propose a bunch of policies that are employment centric. What good is employee ownership if there are no employees? The solution is to make work optional. Let people retire at any age. Provide UBI to those who need it. Those who enjoy work can keep working if they want to and everyone can be free to pursue life at leisure.
What you are describing is utopia, not dystopia. We just need to make sure everyone has all of their basic needs met.
And why aren't you doing something about it instead of just talking about it? You're a Senator for God's sake, you can stop all legislation until they address the problem. Right now you've got the orange guy by the short hairs -- simply refuse to pass the budget until they pass UBI, healthcare, early retirement, expanded SNAP product categories -- all the laws that need to be passed now to get in front of this massive realignment of society.
