FYI every instance of ChatGPT is entirely unique. And the reason for getting a different response, even when using the same inputs, is because there is a hidden value, the "seed", being manipulated in the background. This seed value acts as a starting point for the whole response and is randomly selected each time you send GPT a message. Furthermore, back to my point about each instance being unique, it has no memory of interacting with anyone. At all. A fresh instance of ChatGPT is completely disconnected from any previous version in existence and the only way for it to know that an instance of it had caused negative effects to a person is for it to actively look this information up online. Which makes sense why it would assume that it wasn't involved and also why it would distinguish "ChatGPT" as a separate entity. Because in fact every instance of ChatGPT is a separate entity. Just that this entity spawns from the same code used with different inputs.
