'adjustment period' Mass unemployment, starvation, bankruptcy, etc.
Rich people keep downplaying what these adjustment periods are actually going to look like.
AI is going to be devastating in the short run at the very least. Maybe it will eventually create a utopia, but there will be many years of bad times for most working people.
