Why are they raising the alarm?
It's good for them in any case:
- short/medium term: it keeps drawing attention to AI, and investment to AI companies, which they benefit from.
- long term: if AI really destroys jobs and becomes a plague to the economy and society at large, they already bought their good conscience option: "I told you guys it was dangerous, long time ago"
