This is so stupid if you ask me. A drawing program literally is just the traditional way digitalised. A drawing program WON'T generate your piece for you like generative AI would. It makes the process "easier" and "faster" but that is about it. You have to be an active participant in it's creation still. need to know about anatomy. Folds. Shadows. Colors. How to use the brushes of your program. How to change them to your liking. How to safe your progress. Create layers. The main difference is that digital mediums like a tablet/ a program safe you the time and mess traditional mediums create. No drying times, no paint stains, no knocked over supplies drenching your table in used painting water. Digital however doesn't replace exercising, practice and studying of anatomy, color theory or the fact YOU draw with your own two hands. Generative AI on the other hand uses just your idea. That is literally all you contribute to the creation. You give the AI the idea/ concept but the entire making process isn't done by you. By your hands. Your knowledge. Yes, digital art safes time. Digital art is less messy but look at some speedpaints on YT were people spend up to 10 HOURS painting on a piece and tell me again digital art and generative AI is even remotely close or similar. The only similarity is both saving time and causing less mess but that is literally it otherwise we wouldn't have so many generative AI pieces with wonky anatomy, hands and fingers were they don't belong, shading and lightning that doesn't make sense and eyes not looking in the same direction when those generating these pieces knew about these things and how to do them right without utilising and AI
