i want to preface this by saying that i'm not an ai 'artist' and i will never be. but, i definitely identify a lot with the feelings of that commentor. i have never been especially good at... anything, really. i've always wanted to be an artist (my main aspiration is actually to write but i'm just as awful at that) but i have never been good at it. i've been trying to draw since i was a few years old and i've never fully stopped since the, but your "beginner" works are still leagues better than anything i can make. i am, admittedly, a very jealous individual, and one with very little self confidence. it's very hard not to view people who've succeeded or who are good at something as "one of the talented ones". one of the people who were meant for something good while i'm just not. i don't have many people i can talk to about this stuff but when i do the most i ever get back is "keep trying" "just practise more" "well get better then". i have to be in a very good mood to entertain the idea that i can EVER do something worthwhile in the field i'm SUPPOSED to be dedicating my life to. and with how bad things have gotten recently, i haven't felt like i could be good enough in years. i can't remember the last time. whole thing's a big old complaining session, but sometimes you just need to complain, you know?
