AI can replace many tasks—but replacement always comes with cost.
Replacing a plumber, bartender, or ER doctor with a humanoid AI robot worth $500k–$1M makes no economic sense. Such systems require electricity, sensors, constant maintenance, real-time compute, and reliable internet infrastructure. Human biology, in many cases, is still far cheaper and more efficient.
AI adoption isn’t about “can it replace a human,” but “is it cheaper and better to do so.” That’s why AI will mostly replace selective, repetitive, computer-centric jobs—where work is already digital and cognitive (spreadsheets, routine coding, automation).
For low-skill or physically present jobs paying $10–$15/hour, deploying a million-dollar robot is irrational.
