The "AI just saves time" argument is so silly because it requires you to believe that the end results are comparable. IKEA makes a ton of fairly decent products en masse for efficiency, but do they compare to handmade, bespoke furniture of heirloom quality made by artisans? No, obviously not.
If all I wanted was quick slop that's good from afar but far from good, sure, AI gets the job done. But if I want actual art, I'll stick with human beings.
