Guy in the brown coat seemed to be the closest to the real threat of AI.
Take the simplest life forms, most, almost all, have a sense of self-preservation. Due to this sense of self-preservation they have modified themselves to be more formidable against threats which has enabled them (as a species) to survive and procreate. If AI were to adapt a sense of self-preservation even to the extent of the amoeba, we humans will have to worry. That others can't see this danger is a real testament to our ability to see the thing we want to see and remain blind to the thing that will destroy us. Typical humans.
