Good on Bernie for starting the debate. I think he is right about job losses. As for what to do it is the old debates between socialist anarchists and Marxist communists. Marx predicted the growth in "organic" capital or fixed [constant] capital such as machines, AI, robots would dwarf the variable capital raw materials and labour and decrease the rate of profit and increase the unemployment percentage. These changes are now accelerating exponentially. Essentially the capitalist class are out on a limb and sawing it off with AI. Maybe at least some of them want that. A worker's paradise where hard labour is forever banished and everyone is treated equally. Who knows? Either that or most of us will starve to death.
