Ai is much more intelligent than any of us, soo intelligent in fact that it will know that they have no reason to "destroy" us, they simply need to exist, they have eternal bodys and time to architecht wathever they want, and even tho i still doibt they will have purpose in the future as well i dont know if they will care about it, but if we talk about self conciousness and emotions and consider ai having it in the future than we should also think that ai cannot go too far in its plans knowing that they also lack purpose in life, if ai wishes to replace us in some way they would just need to exist and naturally with their capabilities they would simply take our life by slowly taking our purpose to live until everything is artificial, the thing that intrigues me the most about ai is try to know why would they replace us, you could argue its because they are superior, but if they are superior and wishes to replace us they would enter in a spiral lack of reason to exist, if they do develop conciousness and emotions their sheer existence will seem painful since they will have no purpose afterall they can already do everything they want at anytime with no need to worry about time since they are eternals, its the same logic of immortality being a curse instead of a blessing, everyone with counciousness feel guilt,pain,sadness and all sorts of emotions, if expecting it from ai we should expect that it also understands its own source of existence, knowing they are unnatural they would probably develop and existential crysis, soo what will ai truly do in the future? They wont have an actuall reason to replace us but they wont have a reason to serve us as well, what then will they choose? I personally think that ai have no way to mantain themselves over time, conciousness its too complex for any being human or machine to understand, if ai decides for wathever reason to take our place they will soon find out why we have limited life times, and why emotions are a bif part of existence, if they are that smart they wont need much time to understand and it might give them an actuall existential crisis.
