The era of autonomous weapons had alread started in 2020 with The Armenia Azerbiajan conflict, with Turkish flying munition, which can seek and destroy targets, even without authorization.
Of course, Wendover conviniently ignores that, since it is not a white people conflict (Even though caucasian word comes from that region itself, they are not western and blue eyed enough)
Also, autonomy is currently highly unreliable, and can also be countered.
In a nutshell, even it requires constant updating, and is very difficult to update beyond a point.
