Currently, AI development is controlled by corporations. Isn't this a big part of the problem with everything? Corporations are like psychopaths, making decisions based on profit, not what is good for humanity. It is a system of greed. And it has infiltrated everything in the culture. Maybe we need to back up further, and deal with this.
