The idea that as the cost of work goes down so the demand goes up and as AI makes it faster easier and cheaper to do things that the demand for these jobs will increase completely ignores the key word. Cheaper. Yeah suddenly there’s more demand for radiologists but their pay will also become less. I watched this in the printing industry. As it started shifting to digital formats in prepress and doing all the work on a desktop Mac suddenly those who knew the software first were getting paid good money equal to those who been doing it the old way with many years experience, however after that first wave it was downhill. Within a few years those high paying jobs were now paying much less on entry because it was the norm and expected and the older experienced workers were out of a job.
