I'm blown away by how intelligent and thoughtful Karen Hao is. Her inherent understanding of the people, the technology, the economics, and the politics and the complex ways they interact and the clear way she communicates about them cuts through the hype and hysteria like a knife. I especially appreciate her perspective regarding what AI itself is and is not capable of and the way she points out that the decisions about how it is implemented are human ones.
ETA: Years ago, I did some taskwork for one of the platforms that was training AI. I can't imagine how stressful it would have been being dependent on that for income.
