Well.. China has 1.4B citizens. Can you imagine if there wasn't this kind of surveillance and automatic flagging?!?? Every little or big crime would go with a 'paper investigation'... the system would fail immediately. And it could take days until some police officer would respond to your 911 call...
Would YOU live like China lives now or live in a country where police eta arrival would be measured in days or even weeks?

Nobody is directly putting up cameras behind your house window... It is a public street/space. If you dont want to be filmed then just stay in your private property and don't go in public streets. ;)
