The more I watch people talk about “Ai” the more I realize they don’t understand it’s not actually Ai. It’s a quicker Googler than you, just as a calculator is quicker at math than you. But it’s not actually intelligent, it’s not actually training, it’s not actually learning. It’s all a gimmick, folks. The only risk we have is most of the population has absolutely no idea this isn’t actually Ai, isn’t actual intelligence, yet they’ll hastily turn over their autonomy and will worship Ai as if it’s a sentient being, a quasi-god, if you will. And the trillion dollar tech companies are laughing all the way to the bank.
Only they’re not because they’re blowing hundreds of billions of dollars a quarter collectively on this, and all we’ve got to show for it is it’s a glorified meme generator.
