Late to the party, but I watched the entire thing, and wanted to share my thoughts. When someone says "it makes art accessible", I don't think they mean it as making an artist better at their craft. It's more "Hey, I have money for this phone and tech, but maybe not the big prices some artists ask for a single piece". They also get it right then and there. I have a friend who uses AI art for their character, for instance, and they use it a lot for say, moving that character into a certain other canon. They got into She-Ra at some point and put their character in an outfit that looked like something from Princesses of Power. This is the use I think it works best for. Anyone using it commercially to sell as an art piece itself? Yeah, no. I don't really support that. It is, however, great for budding game devs who need art assets, or no talents who need art for a character/OC. Heck, the most I've really seen it used for is creating genderswaps of female characters into male characters (specifically femboys), which is... really rare. Most are is of male characters swapped to female. So it's helping that as well. I understand why you're against it, and I do think it needs some brakes put in place, IE, making it unable to directly reference/copy a certain art style. Cool, I can get behind that. I won't downplay how useful it can be to people that can never and will never art in their life, however, but do in fact need art for whatever they may be doing. Bonus to them if it's just placeholder art and they eventually get a real artist.
