So basically alpha-coders will thrive, like always, the rest not so much (10 to 100 times worse than currently) as simple taks will all be taken away by AI. Also I guesstimate it will be harder to join the ranks as a junior dev, as there will only be jobs for the already skilled and insanely skilled, to fix the mess created by code-monkey AI... I think, in the long run, software development will never again be the mass employment opportunity it still is. Just like factories: they employed a lot more people in the 1920s. Now most of the work is automated. I bet the exact same will be happening for IT in the long run.
