"Big data" needs data to be analyzed, and security of the data is one of the critical paths for building useful systems. Christian White, being lack of trust on the governments, are nowhere near to build databases for big data. Contrary, people in China think that the government is the most trustworthy data center, which promotes the utilization of big data, including Artificial Intelligence. It should be noted that they are pioneering in 5G. Japan may be in the Eastern culture, as well.
