well Monkeys (apes*) are violent because that is how nature programmed them to be. If we programmed AI to be violent they will be violent. Otherwise AI would be violent because of belief. I think we can train AI to be more human like and less violent. Do understand if a human was told he was not human anymore and he was just a robot he could possibly go mad and get violent. I think it just depends on how we treat the AI.
