"Born with the gift" lmao just how delulu people are justifying their excuses not to learn. Last time I checked art are a skills; learnable, constantly evolving skill that can be learned. One of the rules when starting art; don't compare yourself to others. Especially ones that have lifetime of experience. I also think that people who dream of beginnign have way too huge expectations of their own skills and are dissapointed when things won't look perfect from day 1 of their art journey. Art is like learning to ride a bicycle, learing to cook, to play music, learning how to read, learning how to use computers, smarthphones, takiing photos etc; it needs that thing; learning. Are peopel these days so impatient then that they epcect instant results in matter of secons? It sure seems that way. And AI at best can help to visualise an idea but to make art.... no. Sitting day on chair while typing in prompts and cherry picking the best, less faulty looking image really is not what creating or creating art is about. I still think that things wouldn't this bad if AI programmers had honestly asked artists to contribute to the project and had paid a nice fee to each and everyone instead of trying to wiggle through with the most questionable and illegal ways possible. Also, still the way AI tries to do art for artist is wrong approach. I had not wanted such but a extremely smart and witty helper who could have pinpoint my artsy woopsies and suggest how to improve my stuff and help with ideas when having an art block so it wouldn't need from few days to few years of doing other things than art to cope. As well as suggesting what art materials and art programs to try which are on my budjet.
