Personally, the development of ai produced images is honestly really great advancement, but letting it be in the hands of the public at such high quality and quantity is downright idiotic and just not good in general. I get it being a cool novelty to be around for the public as "hehehe I made a bri*ish rat" But in more of a sense later in tech i can see it being very useful for those with degenerative brain diseases, Understanding how we can make far better equipment/parts for vehicles, items, ect, and just general experimentation. I do see it over time becoming less and less popular medium since art is a pretty natural humanistic trait thats been around for millennia. I just feel like too much blame is put on AI itself and not the people misusing it for their own gain and said producers of the AI not holding themselves accountable for public works.
