All valid points. But I've been in various fields of IT including development over 30 years. The problem is management are the ones making the hiring decisions. And they are letting go of devs. What I see happening is companies still hiring devs. But instead of needing 20 devs, they'll hire 6 and have them verify (a.k.a correct) the A.I generated code.
