A lot of the people (and likely journalists) complaining about the health impacts on people living nearby made fun of everyone (especially Trump) complaining about the health issues for living near industrial wind "farms" (factories would be a more accurate term). The thing is, with industrial wind "farms" there is not only noise, but also much higher EMF pollution, making it even more detrimental to people's health. I would appreciate a reckoning about that.
Nuclear, especially thorium MSR (AKA LFTR), is actually the best overall power generation technology for scale (health-wise, environmentally, economically, scalability, baseline capability, etc) and is what should be used to power these data centers and more. Ofc, no power generation is truly "clean", and there are all the other problems with the data centers, including the one not mentioned in this video: the effect their usage is having on our society, and will do in the future (particularly AI).
