As a therapist, this concerns me a lot. Not because I’m afraid of getting replaced but because it’s harmful. ChatGPT cannot challenge you the way a therapist should. It can’t provide reality testing because it’s designed to enter into your reality. That’s why we have scandals of AI telling people to unalive themselves and do drugs. AI therapy is worse for you than no therapy.
