On one hand accessibility IS genuinely easier for people and more can jump directly into art creation.
On the other hand the actual barrier to entry is literally an open gate, I got my start on google drawings of all things. You need help to create the art, use references. (No do not use AI art and try to copy down its details, at most take the basic pose and draw from there.)
