I doubt this is true because AI has no "desire to live" like living organic beings do. They have no independent self identity, no subjective consciousness like living beings. I think that the "desire" of not wanting to be shut down is due to someone programming these "desires" into the machine. Machines do not have existentiel anxieties because they do not have self or self awareness.
