the point about AI art model collapse beiing inevitable makes me wonder if humans could fall prey to the same thing? Like, if you put a person in a room only provided with images made by other people, and nothing from real life, would that group start to deteriorate in art quality? I guess i'm wondering if the intrinsic human connection to reality is what keeps our art good.
