No company will pay you more for doing less They will probably fire everyone, put the bare minimum of people possible doing the max hours allowed and keep them on the lowest payment they can and the company owner can get fatter on it... Any AI bro claiming this will make life easier, that will make everyone a creator, a possible company owner, a master of all trades, is naive, pure naivety. People will lose jobs, will stay paying for everything they need but cant truly own, they will not be needed for jobs, they wont get paid to just exist and the elite of the big companies will get richer, its already happening. Theres already a collapse of job offers, and the jobs that are available are not good, 99% are for minimum wage if theres a contract, lower than that if there isnt and they call it freelance... For those saying "oh but horses got replaced by cars too" yes, they did, and there was also a collapse of horse breeds and numbers after. Over 50% of the draft breeds for farm work are gone now or exist in minimum numbers, the friesian horse for example is highly famour but also highly inbred because it was brought back by fans of the breed who didnt want to see it gone. Horses exist now as a luxury for those who can afford it. If AI is replacing people, people are the horses, who is going to be paying us to just exist? Who is going to turn our lives into a luxury, not a right? Who is coming forward to feed us and take care of us? The AI companies? I don't think so
