Ai will take over jobs and many people won't be able to find good jobs or a job at all. What if all jobs are done by AI and the government decides to give everyone enough money to get by? Well, there won't be taxes because the rich don't pay them, and you can't pay taxes if you don't make money. The one thing that can be done is we become moneyless. At that point either you'll have people who want to work to keep busy and better the country and others that will say "fuck it" and do nothing. There are negative sides to this, but I think there would be more upsides to downsides. More and more people can make the projects out of the ideas they have so you'll have more products out there and more unique products because companies don't want to innovate, they want to just make what they build a little better each year. Look at the processor industry, Intel, AMD, Nvidia, they all just bring out small changes to their consumer products and raise prices. So, if we go moneyless, they would have no reason to hold back. A person who wants to make a video game, or a new type of engine, whatever, they can do it and for this more innovative products will come out. The lab that doesn't have the funding to that can't get funding to create a cure for a disease can do it. Right now, for most people money is the issue of why they can't do something magnificent. I don't think this will happen anytime soon because big companies wouldn't want this to happen and even most people for whatever reason would probably say no to it. And I'm not saying people could just walk into a store and leave with what they want. My idea is more like if the government just gave out money for people to live. You don't have a place to live, you'll get one. You have a house and a mortgage plus property tax, that goes away...etc. So now "if all jobs are taken are done by Ai what do the people do?" Write a book, build something and if people like it you can give it to people. Work will still be there but instead of going to a job you hate you'll do one that you want to do, if you have a great idea for a game or app and don't know how to code find someone who does know how to code to make it and you can give it to people who want it.
