So what's the reason again? "you've restricted what it can do"? What kind of reason is that? Politeness, correct grammar, all this costs effort. We do this in our social encounters to express our respect. We take the time to listen to somebody, because we respect him. But an AI? I am not restricting it. I hate it when chatbots wish me a good day or show too much formal kindness. Because it makes it seem like a real person while it isn't. And I want to USE a chatbot, not ask "sorry, do you mind... Pretty please with sugar on top?" I don't want to use friends. But I do want to use a chatbot. I think being "polite" only makes you forget more and more that you're speaking to a machine...
