Ai can never be sentient. It doesn't have a nervous system. It can be a communication tool for sentient beings, but it is not sentient. It will just be good at convincing people it is. Sentient beings do not depend on the power grid, solar power or battery to exist. Yes, some people may need power to live LONGER, but humans never needed those to come into existence. We exist due to forces outside of that.
