AI is for sure killing the middle class dream, it will take over the jobs traditionally used for social mobility by low income and middle class workers.
Unless properly addressed by public policies, such as a guaranteed minimum income (maybe?), we will see our societies crumble under massive unemployment & social unrest from disenfranchised groups.
It is a real threat that we should look straight in the eyes and recognise its potential to disrupt society & democracy as we know it.
And it will not go away.
Surprised to see a politician actually discuss this.
