Mankind is not as intelligent. Man thinks he is 100% intelligent, yet its not the case...we are only 80% (the percentages here are an example, not exact, its just there to illustrate what I mean). So because we reserve 100% for ourselves, we don't see right. Its like having spectacles with rose coloured glass. But although we are not that intelligent, we can balance this out with 'creativity'. AI is an exact intelligence force. No matter if it is more intelligent, its too exact. It lacks spontanoues thought, creative thought. It needs templates. Templates are made up by people, and yes AI can improve it, make it more efficient but that's about it. AI misses creativity. Even if it would attack us, we are able to start resisting it from a creative angle. AI will run out of ideas if we won't feed it with more. And that will make us superior. Yes some parts of what we see as creativity can be imitated by AI but it has not the ability to get creative like us. For AI does not 'experience" coincedental events like humans do since the beginning of time. Creativity is intelligence mixed with coincidence, experience and it is not intelligence as in abstract intelligence. So that makes it unobtainable for AI to achieve. Robots and machines are still not able to cut diamonds as well as a human being, creating lenses. I think somewhere down the line if we do get whiped out by AI. AI will not survive us long. And before AI could even get near to gain such a powerfull position, everything will change when the shortage of money for the masses will bring the whole system down. Already nature and humans are suffering on a gigantic scale. This will expand in such a way that money doesn't mean a thing in the near future. And AI can only function in two way's food and water or electricity and money. The whole technology system works on electricity and money. If money becomes worthless, things that build AI won't be produced anylonger. No screens, no computers, no electric circuits, no skilled human workers. Again without men AI will not survive. It has actually nothing to do with intelligence.
