humans project ourselves onto our world. AI is a new apex of that habit, since, like the video describes, we don't understand our own consciousness. so, regardless of the outcome, we're in a very tricky phase of self discovery, while looking into the mirror gaze of digital homunculi.
even when trying to imagine all possibilities, humans project their narrow interests. if machines become conscious, i expect their behaviour will be unexpectedly different from our own.
