All Ai has to do is determine that humans are a risk to either them or the earth and decide we are not the most important things on the planet. Maybe they will not do a Terminator style attack but damn near everything today is ran by computer with a network connection. So they could certainly cause us some major inconveniences that could lead to bigger problems.
