First things first, love your videos. You are a great inspiration for us medical students. Here is the question:
Since reading studies is much about identifying patterns, don't you think AI will beat radiologists in the accuracy, by the machine learning process? It is happening in mathematics and computer science for decades... If it happen, I still think radiologists will be very valuable in procedures and dynamic studies, such as ultrasound. However, don't you think it can decrease the number of radiologists needed in a hospital? Because the study reading, at least the everyday ICU chest x-rays, will be done by AI, so the only task to the radiologist will be the dynamic stuff or procedure? If it happen, maybe doctors who are thinking about doing residency in radiology should care about..?
Another question: do you think there is a possibility of hospitals hire poorer countries radiologists, who charge less per hour, to read studies for less money, since you acess studies any place in the world? It may sound silly, but I really was wondering about it...
