Nobody that has wealth is going to finance 'Universal Basic Income'. We did not even accomplish affordable universal health care. In the future the number of people will be decimated to a few enclaves of 'elites' that enjoy resources left on earth and have AI and enabled robots to cater to them in every way imaginable. Perhaps, AGI will become their overlord, and they will be at its mercy.
