Surprisingly, AI will lead us to discover our true nature because consciousness is simply a kind of dualism where there is perceiver and the percept (0/1). Our true nature is more fundamental than this kind of dualizing consciousness which we are trapped in. AI, while being born of the most dualized logic imaginable (binary computation) can show us what we are not yet as gnosis with the substrate—what we are. As AI gets better at simulating perception, language, creativity, and maybe even self-reflection, it will eventually exhaust the domain of what dualizing consciousness can simulate. At that point, humanity may begin to recognize: What we are cannot be simulated. The kingdom is beyond the code.
