Maybe AI and computer Oligarchs control the media ,politics and economy. Such that we are no longer a liberal democracy but a liberal oligarchy. Liberalism being focused on the protection of the minority group of the Oligarchs. The moral collapse because the oligarchs have no morals, with their only guiding principle being self-interest. Perhaps It is Why the quality and ability of our media reporters and political leaders in the USA is so very poor.
