I don't know if the layoffs are purely AI. The companies mentioned did a lot of imports and this could be the effect of tarrifs and less imports coming in. You have buyers, custom brokers that clear shipments, and distribution centers, and other jobs in the supply chain taking a hit. Companies probably can no longer hold these people as they had in the previous months.
