It’s crazy how some AI artists are starting to create a whole mythology to cope with the backlash of artists concerns about how AI has to steal art to make art. So art isn’t a skill like most things in this life in their worldview has to be a talent so they can justify ignoring accountability. But they also have to mythologize artists as “traditional artists” who are entitled because they are afraid of losing power. And set themselves up as new, better, freer, true artists. In this way they fabricate an enemy to fight against and ignore legitimate concerns from anyone who remotely sees their points as legit. It’s unfortunate that people do this but it all too human and seems like the first step to making an echo chamber and then an ideological hill to die on. First you make an unsubstantiated story where you are the victim and your being tread upon by a cruel unjust opposition that needs to be overthrown. And you can be self righteous and feel justified despite having no real proof that that story is real. (And evidence is not always proof.) But that never seems to matter as much as what people want to believe when they have agendas like this. …Alright. Time to for me to go disconnect from the social world for a while….christ.
