This is an interesting video. Im 46 years old and went to commercial art school learning how to use some of the first versions of photoshop. Back then (1997), and for years after, many artists accused those of us using digital art of "Cheating" because photoshop basically "does the work for you". Same argument I see with AI tools today. This always happens when a mechanism takes the labor from a human. I have more than 20 years working as a freelance professional artist and graphic designer, and I have spent many of those years in photoshop, Maya and zbrush and just about every other application out there. Unfortunatly since the advent of AI art, I have pretty much stopped all artistic endeavors completely. I mean , if Im just going to be accused of cheating by the unwashed masses anway, then whats the point? Having the experience that I do, I can see valid points in both Shad and Andy's Arguments, and I can also see clear errors in both. Nevertheless, here's the fast facts though. Ai isnt going away, and it will likely force artists to adapt to newer methods of creativity wheather we like it or not. You can argue your point until the cows come home, but while you argue, AI is going to be stomping your face into the ground with a thousand prompted images per second.
