AI is developed mostly in Silicon Valley, a place where founders/companies are often unmasked as people/entities who are breaking the law, lying and just pretending they know things and pretending until it works, operating with little to no substantive knowledge, valuable output or value system--that's the culture--and we're surprised when AI does it?
And then there's Silicon Valley's other famous MO--move fast and break things? Things like rules, honesty, laws and based on nothing but profit and self preservation and a complete lack of worry about who may get harmed? Isn't that what these authors are afraid of AI doing?
