I’m a blue collared worker in Kentucky.
I’m currently trying to draft a piece of legislation that would effectively “safety net” workers as they are displaced by AI/automation in the state of Kentucky.
This program is called KADAP. Kentucky automation displacement assistance program.
It effectively ensure that these companies pay their workers properly in the event that they are fired because of all of this.
I’ve been working on this for months. I am not a politician nor a legislator.
I am a concerned American in Kentucky who realizes that (especially in an ‘At-Will’ state) a global shift towards Industry 4.0 is on the horizon.
I’ve supported your career for over a decade now and as someone who feels like I’m only one person, what are some things that we can do to make more aggressive pushes for better change in this country?
Any support or words of wisdom would be incredibly helpful.
